LB Coach Jeff Ulbrich has a new weapon!
U.C.L.A. and Coach Mora just landed another fantastic addition to what is shaping up as an epic 2013 recruiting class with 4* linebacker Isaac Savaiinaea, from Punahou HS in Honolulu.
Welcome to Westwood, Isaac!
Savaiinaea continues the tradition of great athletes from Punahou HS. He had offers from numerous schools including Arkansas, Stanford, Oregon, and Florida, but had narrowed his final choices to U.C.L.A. and Texas A&M. He was the #3 rated linebacker per Scout.com.
From Greg Biggins at Scout.com
Savaiinaea is everything you want in an inside linebacker. He has size, toughness, above average athleticism, is a solid tackler and plays with a motor. He's a huge hitter who plays sideline to sideline and has the athletic ability to be a three down linebacker. He clocked a 4.62-40 and jumped 32 inches in the vertical and is regarded as the best prospect to come out of Hawaii in years.
Here is some video of Isaac's junior year. Not only does this sound like BOOM!, it feels a lot like BOOM!, too.
Let's give a Bruins Nation welcome to Isaac. National Signing Day is off to a great start for Coach Mora and staff.
GO BRUINS!
