Jordan Lasley became the fourth commit of the year, joining fellow wide receiver Barry Ware and JC linemen Dominick Jackson and Jermaine Eluemunor. Lasley is a three star prospect, but the Serra product has a lot of upside. Standing 6'2 and weighing 185 lbs., Lasley reportedly runs a 4.4 40, and will make a formidable combination with the 6'3 205 lbs. Barry Ware at wideout. Lasley had 14 catches for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns playing for a stacked Serra team last year as a Jr., but his numbers should improve his Sr. year with the graduation of some of some of the talent playing in front of him.
One of the more exciting aspects of Lasley's commitment is the Serra connection and the fact that Lasley referred to UCLA as his "dream" school. Serra has fed the school across town for years, and it's great to see UCLA tapping into the Serra pipeline. In addition to Lasley, UCLA is recruiting QB Jalen Greene, DB Glen Ihenacho, LB Dwight Williams, and, of course, DB Adoree Jackson from Serra this year, as well as 2015 RB Malik Roberson.
Let's close with a couple videos of Lasley in action:
