Announced on the UCLA website:

UCLA Head Baseball Coach John Savage was named National Coach of The Year, as announced on Friday by the Collegiate Baseball newspaper. One of the most respected coaches in college baseball, Savage also was named the ABCA West Region Coach of the Year while leading the Bruins to their first national baseball championship at the recent College World Series. The Bruins (49-17) rolled through the NCAA Tournament with a 10-0 record, finishing 5-0 at the CWS.

We are so impressed with the performance of the statistically-challenged (at least by the MSM) UCLA Baseball team. What better way to demonstrate the impact of a great head coach and the whole coaching staff. Obviously a well deserved honor for Coach Savage. We wish him and his teams continued success and support from the Bruin family.
