First things first. Last night the guy we need to run point this upcoming season tweeted this:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Hurt my toes today in practice i wouldnt be surprised if they are broken</p>— SLOWMO (@KyleAnderson5) <a href="https://twitter.com/KyleAnderson5/statuses/375078221286359041">September 4, 2013</a></blockquote>

The start of the season isn't imminent, but it's actually only two months until tipoff against Drexel, and a setback at our thinnest position is the last thing we need. I guess the silver lining is that even if Anderson's injury is significant and it lingers, the early portion of our schedule is Charmin soft, so perhaps we will get a little bit of time to bring Kyle back into the rotation slowly.
Speaking of our soft schedule, the TV spots have been finalized, and the official site is bragging about having all of our regular season games broadcast on a "national basis".
By my count, the Bruins will have 12 out of 31 games on the ESPN networks, including the de facto Duke away game. UCLA will also have one more truly national game against Missouri on CBS. As for the rest, well, it depends on if you consider ESPN3.com, Fox Sports 1, or the Pac 12 Networks to be "national".
