Oregon (14-5 overall, 1-5 Pac-12) was one of the preseason favorites to challenge for a top spot in the Pac-12, but a recent 5 game slide has put a damper on their plans. The Bruins (16-4, 5-2) have a chance to get a victory in a tough location tonight and keep pace with conference leader Arizona who squeaked by Stanford last night.
Tip off is at 6pm Pacific and the game will be televised on ESPN2, which means the Big Redhead will be doing color commentary alongside Dave Pasch. KLAC 570 will carry the radio broadcast in the Los Angeles area and the Westwood One Radio Network will carry a national feed. The preview from the official site is here.
DC Bruins did his usual outstanding job with his game day notes this morning, and with his his breakdown of the Ducks' surprising struggles yesterday where Oregon took another hit - literally - when senior point guard Johnathan Loyd suffered a broken nose in practice on Tuesday and will be a game time decision tonight. His counterpart on the Bruins' side, PG/PF/alleverything Kyle Anderson, was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after a pair of wins over Stanford and UC Berkeley last weekend (jesus, Kal, DC told you!), and will look to continue his consistently outstanding play tonight. Tony Parker had his best game of the year against Stanford and David Wear had his best game this year against Berkeley, so it will be interesting to see who steps up to help out Anderson for U.C.L.A. tonight. Someone better - Walton is watching - and talking!
Go Bruins!!
