CBB season is finally here! The Montana State Bobcats visit Pauley Pavilion tonight with tip-off set for 9:06PM PT. You can catch the game on PAC-12 Networks. Jim Watson and Don MacLean will be calling it. PAC-12.com will be streaming the game free -- click here. You can also listen on Tunein Radio or 570 AM.
Read DCBruins' preview to see to what he's looking for (spoiler: the bench), and click here for the uclabruins.com preview (from which you can click to their exhaustive guide). Here's their cool new live stats.
Tonight is likely a night of continued experimentation with minutes and rotations. To start with, I want to see if the nerves have died down, but, in any case, the Bruins should handle this easily, and we'll get more questions answered. Then we'll turn our attention to the tougher game with Coastal Carolina on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, enjoy the open thread with your fellow Bruins and BNers!
Update: Arizona 78, Mt. St. Mary 55. Not a lot of style points here. MSM hung around, but Arizona used two late half spurts to pull away. Of note, Ronda Hollis-Jefferson didn't start, but scored 15 in 21 minutes mainly on dunks. Arizona's first half shooting was atrocious, but finished the game at 57% (only 25% from 3 and 48% FT). Colorado pulled away from Drexel, 65-48, and Utah was handling Ball State early. Like I said, Utah is the most ready, but it's their 7'0" freshman center Poeltl that worries me most. The media picked Utah second without mentioning him once.
