UCLA Basketball: Kentucky Game Thread

It keeps getting harder. The Bruins play the No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats in Chicago after losing to Gonzaga and having Alabama, Colorado and Utah to look forward to. Not sure how much there is to look for in this game. How good is Kevon Looney really? Can the Bruins show composure and effort against the best team in college basketball over the past three years?

The 8-3 UCLA Bruins travel to Chicago to take on the 11-0, No. 1-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in the CBS Sports Classic. Tip-off is set for 12:30PM PT. You can catch the game on CBS. Vern Lundquist, Greg Anthony and Allie LaForce will call it. You can also listen on Tunein Radio or 570 AM. Follow along with live stats here.

Kentucky is favored by 15 at this writing. The Bruins weren't blown out by No. 9-ranked Gonzaga, but the Zags were in control the whole way, and the Bruins were in disarray for at least half the game. What's left to say about Kentucky? Perhaps not the greatest offensive team ever, but they come at you with two teams of athletic all-stars. Next is Alabama on the road. It doesn't stop there because it the conference opens up with a road trip to Colorado/Utah (and January 2) and then a home series with Stanford and Berkeley.

Enjoy the game thread with your fellow BNers and Bruins.
