BruinsNation Bracket Challenge: Roundup After Week Two

Spruce Derden-USA TODAY Sports

117 members of this community joined our Bracket Challenge to see who would reign supreme at picking a (possibly new) national champion. Let's take a look at how everyone is doing after the first two weeks.

Like the actual Tournament seeds, the standings in our group have been shaken up since our last check-in. It is no longer a battle of the Greg's. Heading into the Final Four, Dan and his "Autofill lol" bracket leads with 82 points on 40 correct picks, including 3 of the 4 teams that have made it to the weekend at Jerry's place (missing out on Kentucky). "William's Tip Top Bracket" sits in 2nd place, having picked Florida to win the title along with Dan. "'Til the Fat AD Sings", "Simon's Madness Bracket", and "Alfraudian Slip: sit in a 3-way tie for 3rd place - only Alfraudian Slip correctly picked Florida, which would move that one up alone into 3rd.

At this point, there are actually fewer brackets that can win our championship than teams left that could cut down the nets next Monday night. Dan will retain his BN group lead with a Florida championship, and none of the others who picked the Gators can jump him with their Wisconsin/Kentucky semifinal pick alone. Nobody picked Wisconsin or UConn to win the title, but one person did predict that 8-seeded Kentucky would win the national championship, and has been rewarded for that boldness by having the only other bracket that can win the group.

JeffreyC's bracket, "The Peoples' Champion" is currently tied for 29th place with 67 points, but thanks to that pick of Kentucky to win the national championship would gain 48 points if the Wildcats win the national championship, enough to claim victory in the group.

Hope that everyone has had fun with the bracket challenge over the past couple of weeks!
