UCLA Bruins at Virginia Cavaliers First Half Game Thread

The Bruins take the field for the first time in 2014, facing off in Charlottesville against the Virginia Cavaliers.

Chris Nicoll-USA TODAY Sports

The wait is finally over.

The anticipation, the speculation, the previews, the hype, the projections, all of that is secondary now.

Everything counts now.

At 9:00 AM Pacific time, Brett Hundley, Myles Jack, Eric Kendricks, Jacob Brendel (hopefully), Owamagbe Odighizuwa, Jordon James, Coach Jim Mora and the rest of the UCLA Bruins kick off their 2014 football campaign on the road against the Virginia Cavaliers.

The betting line for the game settled at between 20 and 21 points per ESPN's collection of college football lines. It does feel like that small of a point differential would be a bit of a disappointment considering the near consensus that 2014 should be the greatest UCLA season since 1998 and perhaps ever.

You can check out the stream of our coverage of this game here. Would be tough for me to focus on anything but the game now though.

A reminder about our game threads: we do not tolerate any personal attacks on our players. Comment on the quality of a play or player, but don't make it personal.

The game is televised on ESPN, but keep your finger on the mute button as Matt Millen will be in the booth. It is also on radio at 570AM in Los Angeles. You can follow Live Audio and Live Stats on the UCLA Official Site.
