The Bruins will take on the Texas Longhorns today at 5pm PT at a "neutral site" in Texas. This is a game where the Bruins should dominate on both sides of the ball and there are some pretty moving stories about some of our Bruins returning to their home state. While the Bruins can't bring any Texas recruits to the game, it doesn't mean recruits won't be watching. As Coach Mora said: "The Eyes of Texas" ... are upon you.
We have a lot of great information about the game at our Texas hub and it's still not too late to get in your pre-game guesses. If you'd like to find other Bruins to watch with, you can find a list of gathering spots around the country here.
Be sure to check out our conversation with the great folks at Burnt Orange Nation. It's a great and honest back and forth about the state of both programs.
For you history buffs The Daily Bruin provided a cool graphic down "memory lane":

If you want a real walk down memory lane (or highway as the case may be), you might want to check out the highlights on Route 66 here and here.
And in case you are wondering, there are nine players on our team from Texas: Caleb Benenoch, Simon Goines, Aaron Sharp, Zach Whitley, Jake Brendel, Deon Hollins, Najee Toran, Eldridge Massington, and Thomas Schwab. I would say that's a pretty important group!
This is your open thread for today's game. Enjoy and ...
Go Bruins!
