CFB Week 4 Saturday Morning/Early Afternoon Open Thread

It's Week 4, and while we wait for the Bruins to beat ASU next Thursday night, we've got CFB action all day today, including a couple of familiar foes, Virginia at #21 BYU. Here's your early open thread.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

While you're jonesing for Bruin action - they travel to Tempe to play ASU on Thursday, September 25, at 7PM PT on Fox Sports 1 - here's your Saturday Week Four Morning/Early Afternoon College Football open thread. For the second straight week, the matchups are a tad less than what I would call marquee, but there are still plenty of gems.

ESPN Gameday will be in Tallahassee for Clemson vs. Florida State tonight.

Bruins fans will be interested in Virginia (2-1) at #21 BYU (3-0) at 12:30 PT on ESPN. BYU will have played two common opponents with UCLA, Texas and Virginia, and of course, they visit the Rose Bowl next season on September 19. BYU smashed Texas at Austin, 41-7, two weeks ago and Virginia hasn't been too shabby either, beating Louisville, 23-21, last week. I think we're pulling for Virginia for SOS purposes and to make ourselves feel a wee bit better about our underwhelming start. BYU is favored by 14 points. Here's a preview from BYU's SB Nation site.

In early PAC-12 action, Utah travels to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan at 12:30PM PT on ABC. Here's the Athlon Sports PAC-12 Week 4 preview (Cal plays Arizona at 7PM PT).  Florida plays #3 Alabama, also at 12:30 PT on CBS.

For the early game, an ACC matchup, Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech, at 9AM PT on ESPN looks to be the your best bet:  its Georgia Tech's offense versus Virginia Tech's defense -- recall they practically shut down Ohio State in Week One.

Here are the previews and viewing guides from Sports Illustrated and SB Nation, and here's your full Saturday schedule.
