UCLA Basketball: Oregon Game Thread -- Can The Bruins Salvage This Road Trip Without Parker?

After a likely season-breaking loss to Oregon State, the Bruins continue the weekend trip at Oregon. The Bruins still need to prove they can win outside of Los Angeles. At this writing, it appears that Tony Parker will not play, but Oregon appears to pose a minimal defensive challenge and has the same bombs-away mentality as the Parker-less Bruins.

The UCLA Bruins (11-8, 3-3) continue their weekend Oregon road trip this afternoon at the Matthew McKnight Arena to take on the Oregon Ducks (13-6, 3-3). Tip-off is set for 1:00 PT. You can watch the game on CBS. Speros Dedos and Doug Gottlieb (a known UCLA-hater) will call it. You can also listen on Tunein Radio or 570 AM. Follow along with live stats here (double-check this link, the official site, as is often for road games, doesn't list the link even though it is still operative - sometimes).

Read the DC Bruins' preview and the official guide at uclabruins.com (from which you can click to their exhaustive stats and tidbits).

Oregon is favored by 2.5 points. As DC Bruins pointed out in the preview, the Bruins won't have to worry about slowdown tactics or defensive intensity today. Oregon has a run-and-shoot style.

It's a bad time to be on CBS without Parker and not much to play for. The last CBS TV audience got to see the Bruins totally thrashed by Kentucky.

Enjoy the game thread with your fellow BNers and Bruins.
