This Thursday night the Bruin football team will try to regain their stride as Jared Goff and the Berkeley Bears come to town. Kick-off is at 6 pm UCLA Time, which means many Bruins will be coming down with something around noon in the L.A. area, in order to hopefully get some good medicine at the Rose Bowl.
The team is down. The fans are down. Will the Bruins rise again, be prepared for this week's foe, find their balance, and their light again? This seems like the battle the Bruins face every year ... The Battle of Evermore... or, will the dark Lord win tomorrow night. Let's hope the Bruins raise their bows again, shoot straight, and at last - the sun will be shining again. From Roger Plant and Jimmy Page:
The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath, The drums will shake the castle wall, The ring wraiths ride in black, ride on.
Sing as you raise your bow, Shoot straighter than before. No comfort has the fire at night That lights the face so cold.
Oh dance in the dark of night, Sing to the morning light. The magic runes are writ in gold to bring the balance back. Bring it back.
At last the sun is shining, The clouds of blue roll by, With flames from the dragon of darkness, The sunlight blinds his eyes.
Bring it back. Bring it back!
For those of you not in the L.A. area or who cannot make it to Pasadena, there are watch parties going on around the country. We have as complete a list as you will find anywhere (including a couple not on the alumni network website). However, there still may be some going on that we don't know about, so please add, correct, or organize watch parties in the comment section.
Here are the parties we know of:

It seems to me, that the Bruins really could use some big time fan support this week as they try to regroup and change the trajectory. So how about one big 8-clap from around the world to get things started:
Have a good day, and as always ...
Go Bruins!
