Hey Bruin fans, it’s GAMEDAY! Join us tonight as we #GoldOut Pauley. No. 1 Kentucky at UCLA | ESPN | 6 pm PT pic.twitter.com/7oC86zbWIZ
— UCLA Basketball (@UCLAMBB) December 3, 2015
After last season's debacle against the Wildcats, some UCLA fans are avoiding tonight's rematch. In some cases, they've found other things to keep them busy for a couple of hours starting at 6:02 PM PST. Even many optimistic Bruins fans are approaching tonight's contest with anxiety rather than excitement. If those reactions are representative of the wider fanbase going into a nationally televised game against the #1 team in the country, then the UCLA men's basketball program has some pretty serious problems that go far beyond a poor start to the season and the embarrassment of last year's performance.
For those optimistic UCLA fans who were hoping to see Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis on the bench tonight as he recovers from a hyperextended right elbow, your wish has seemingly not been granted:

It remains to be seen how effective Ulis will be tonight, but if he's close to 100%, his ball handling and playmaking make Kentucky significantly better.
UCLA Athletics is promoting tonight's game as a "Gold Out." This is what Pauley Pavilion looks like hours before tip-off
