UCLA Basketball: Washington Game Thread -- Losing Is Not An Option

The Bruins finish their season with a three game home stand starting tonight against the Washington Huskies. Fortunately, these last three teams are relative cupcakes according to the PAC-12 standings. Assuming the team takes care of business, the Bruins will also have an eye on the Oregons in the Bay Area this weekend.

The UCLA Bruins (16-12, 8-7) face the Washington Huskies (15-11, 4-10) in Pauley tonight. Tip-off is set for 8:05 PM PT. You can catch the game on ESPN2. Dave Pasch and Bill Walton (even I have to admit Bill went off the rails last time defending his Michael Jordan) will call the game. You can also listen on Tunein Radio or 570 AM. Follow along with live stats here.

Vegas has UCLA as the 9.5 point favorite.

The Bruins finish the season at Pauley against the PAC-12's three worst teams. I've said "must win" so many times, it's trite. Losing to cupcakes at home isn't an option. The more interesting action is going to be on the other PAC-12 courts: Oregon is at Berkeley Wednesday and Oregon State is Stanford on Thursday.

That said, perception can go a long way. Can the Bruins win three games convincingly over the next eight days? Is Tony Parker still engaged? If you believe Joe Lundardi, ESPN, the Bruins are in the Tournament. I will feel better if they finish in third, and make it to the championship game of the PAC-12.

Enjoy the game thread with your fellow BNers and Bruins.
