OK, so it's Selection Sunday and, well, I think a lot of us will be surprised if the Bruins make the NCAA Tournament, which may mean that we don't have to worry about figuring out when the team is playing or who or where. But, even if they don't make it to the Big Dance, it doesn't mean that we can't enjoy March Madness.
Of course, the best way to enjoy the Tournament is to join in a March Madness pool. As we have in years past, the BN team has set up a Bruins Nation group for our Tournament Bracket Challenge.
This year, SBN has partnered with Realtime Brackets. While Realtime Brackets offers an option to change your picks at any time, that system seems to just promise chaos, but they do offer a traditional pool.
So, that's what we're going to use.
The main thing to understand with RTB: Each round has a maximum of 960 points instead of the traditional 32 points. I really wish they would have allowed an option to let us change the scoring, but as long as each round is worth the same total of points, it doesn't really matter.
So, if you think you have what it takes to claim bragging rights this year, head over to Realtime Brackets and sign up now! Unfortunately, there are no prizes other than bragging rights, but, hey, it's also free to join! Just ask JeffreyC who won last year or David who beat yours truly by only 2 points to claim the title in 2013 if bragging rights are enough.
Our group is a private group so you'll need to know the name and the password in order to join. But, despite that, all Bruins Nation members are welcome to participate!
Our Group Name is: Bruins_Nation
Our Group Password is: Ka-Powell
Just be sure to make your picks by the time the Tournament starts on Thursday because once it starts all picks will be locked.
Good luck and Go Bruins!
