Viva Las Vegas! Who's Up For A BN Roadtrip?

With the loss of our baseball and men's golf teams last night and today, we can now turn our attention for the next six months to where it should be: FOOTBALL!!!

It's just over three months to kickoff, but it's never too early to start planning for the season.

This season, I fully expect that UCLA will be playing seven home games. "Wait...what?" you ask as you open a new tab in your browser and double-check the official site.

I said that I fully expect that UCLA will be playing seven home games. Six of them will be played at the Rose Bowl and the seventh will be played on September 12th at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas because I will be shocked if there aren't more UCLA fans there than UNLV fans.

In order to help make this happen, Bruins Nation is organizing a road trip. I don't know the last time any of you went to Vegas, but, for me, it's been a while. In fact, the last time I was there I went to see this concert.

But, I digress.

If you've looked into buying tickets to the UNLV game, you've probably noticed that UCLA is selling tickets for the game at a cost of $50.00 each.

I have found a way for members of Bruins Nation to save 30% off that ticket price. That's right, Bruin fans, rather than paying 50 bucks a ticket, you can instead pay $35. All we need to do to get that price is to buy them together as a group and we need a minimum of 20 tickets to buy group tickets.

That shouldn't be too hard with this group. Heck, I think we're almost halfway there with just people I've discussed this with privately.

Here's what you need to do. You need to send me an email no later than Friday, June 12th and let me know how many tickets you want.

I will then contact everyone to arrange payment. We will need to purchase them together in order to get the group rate.

There will, of course, be some sort of a pregame gathering. Those details are still being worked out. The problem we're trying to solve is balancing tailgating against an afternoon temperature likely to hit 100 degrees, but we have some time to figure that out.

While comments on this article are certainly welcome, please be advised that expressing interest in the comments will not be considered for the purpose of purchasing tickets as I may not have a way to contact you directly.

So, who's up for a roadtrip? Bright lights, city gonna set my soul, gonna set my soul on fire.....

UPDATE #1:
We already have more than 50 people signed up to join us in Vegas! So, any concern that this could be a small group from Bruins Nation should now be put to rest. This is promising to be the largest Bruins Nation event ever. If you are on the fence, get off and make plans to join us in Las Vegas.

Those of you who have already signed up will likely receive an email from me within the next day or two to start the ball rolling.

UPDATE #2:
While the initial cut-off was Friday, we can and will continue to take additional signups until about a week before the game. This is because UNLV tickets will allow us to continuously add to our group. That said, the sooner you sign up, the better your tickets will be.

UPDATE #3:
It's not too late. It's still possible to get in on this. We're up to 135 and counting. If you were on the fence and have decided to go, please let me know ASAP!

Go Bruins!!!
