UCLA in the Desert
As far as UCLA fans are concerned, the main event takes place tonight in the desert. Kickoff against UNLV is set for 7:30 PM PDT at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas as the Bruins try to stay unbeaten in 2015. As of Friday, UCLA is favored by just over four touchdowns. As always, we'll have a dedicated game thread where you can follow the game with your fellow Bruins.
Tracking the Pac-12
#24 Utah (2-0) eased by Utah State(1-1) yesterday, 24-14, in the "Battle of the Brothers." The rest of the Pac-12 is in action today, starting at 9 AM with Oregon State at Michigan. Colorado and Washington are up next when the Buffaloes host Massachusetts and the Huskies host Sacramento State at 11 AM. Washington State faces Rutgers at 12:30 PM, while Cal meets San Diego State at 2:00 PM.
At 4:00 PM, #22 Arizona takes on Nevada. Idaho vs. #8 Southern Cal kicks off at 5:00 PM, as does what looks like the best game of the day--#7 Oregon at #5 Michigan State. Kickoff between UCF and Stanford coincides with kickoff in Las Vegas for the Bruins, while Cal Poly at Arizona State is the last game of the day (8 PM PDT).
Best Games of the Day
There's an easy and obvious first choice here: #7 Oregon at #5 Michigan State. The Ducks won last season's game in Eugene, but it's a different Oregon team this year, and Michigan State enjoys home field advantage this time around. The Spartans enter the game as 4 point favorites. Kickoff is at 5:00 PM PDT.
Two other games that feature a matchup of top-25 teams are #14 LSU at #25 Mississippi State, and #19 Oklahoma at #23 Tennessee. Unfortunately, the first game has a 6:15 PM PDT kickoff, so the second half will conflict with the UCLA game. Oklahoma-Tennessee kicks off at 3 PM PDT.
