The Bruin Fan Alliance, as part of its commitment to philanthropy, is issuing a Charity Challenge to benefit Jim and Shannon Mora’s Count On Me Family Foundation, dedicated to helping children in need. The theme of the Virginia game challenge is "Let’s Get Scrappy," in honor of Defensive Coordinator Tom Bradley whose nickname is Scrap. The BFA will match all funds that are raised.

Every time our Bruin defense comes up big, we can do the same.  Here’s how:

  • Donate five dollars for every Bruin defensive tackle for loss
  • Donate eight dollars for every Bruin defensive sack
  • Donate ten dollars for every Bruin defensive turnover
  • Donate twenty five dollars for every Bruin defensive touchdown

Once we tally up the impressive defensive plays, we’ll announce the corresponding dollar amount so that generous donors can make out checks to Count On Me Family Foundation and mail them to:

To get this challenge started the right way, former Bruins Donovan Carter and Dietrich Riley, who are BFA Student Athlete Ambassadors put together this video.
