CFB Early Saturday Open Thread: Pac-12 Championship on the Line in Boulder; What???

While SEC teams are playing things like Alabama A&M (not a combined team of players from Alabama and Texas A&M), two teams that control their own destiny in the Pac-12 face off in the West.

It’s FCS week in the "World’s Greatest Conference", aka the SEC, so much of the compelling action to keep tabs on before we see if Mike Fafaul can turn in a legendary performance is in our very own Pac-12 Conference. Colorado and Washington State are playing with spots in the conference championship game possibly on the line (you read that right, you don’t need to get your eyes checked).

Here are some games to keep an eye on before the nation tunes in to Pasadena:

#23 Florida at #16 LSU, 10:00am PST, SECN. Ah but there is one real SEC game today, thanks to Hurricane Matthew. Originally supposed to have been played in the Swamp, this game is now in Baton Rouge. Coach O has gotten the Tigers scoring points, as long as they aren’t playing Alabama, and every game is an audition for landing the top job. LSU is favored by two touchdowns.

#22 Washington State at #10 Colorado, 12:30pm PST, FOX. Just like everyone predicted in the preseason, Wazzu—undefeated in Pac-12 play—travels to Boulder—one loss in conference—in a game that could be a preview of, or at the very least have a lot of impact on, the Pac-12 Championship game in a couple of weeks. Despite their records, neither team has notched that signature win, but one will do it today.

Here's all of today's early action:
