UCLA leads the nation in field goal percentage at 56%. However Texas A&M ranks ninth in Field Goal percentage defense at 35%. What is going to give?
UCLA goes four guards at times and announcer Sean Farham likes to call guard Aaron Holiday the sixth starter. Texas A & M is a big men's team that according to ESPN starts two centers. One of them Tyler Davis is all of 270 pounds, probably more. Their sixth man is 6'9" inch Robert Williams.
Will Texas A & M be able to gum up the works and slow the game down. Will UCLA guards be able to press their advantages on offense and defense?
A couple final thoughts:
- Once again, this is the best team UCLA has played yet.
- However, USC beat Texas A&M. UCLA has to beat Just SC this year and losing here would be a bad sign.
- Classic contest of a guard oriented team against a big man oriented team
Go Bruins!
