In a few hours, Villanova and North Carolina will take to the floor at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas with the 2016 National Championship on the line.
Despite an overwhelming thumping of Oklahoma by Villanova on Saturday, the Tar Heels are a 3-point favorite in tonight's game.
From what I've seen of this tournament, I think Villanova is going to come out on top but that will really depend on how well they shoot. Personally, I think the fact that the Wildcats shot 71 percent from the field on Saturday in a building that hasn't been kind to shooters was amazing. I think it will be incredibly difficult to come back and do that again.
But, that said, they don't need a repeat performance of Saturday to win.
They just need to keep playing sound, fundamental basketball. In order to do that, they will need to slow the tempo down from the faster-paced game that North Carolina likes to play. If they are able to slow down the Tar Heels, then look for the Wildcats to take home the trophy. If they can't do that, then the Tar Heels will come out on top and their 6th title will be put them five behind UCLA. Considering that this would be their third win since 2005, they are closing that gap faster than you can say "Fire Steve Alford!"
