The UCLA Women's Golf team played their best round of the tournament so far yesterday to finish the stroke-play portion of the NCAA Championships first overall. UCLA shot a 6 under 282 yesterday to pass Southern Cal and finish stroke play at 8 under 1144.
The first-place finish in the stroke-play portion of the tournament earned the Bruins the top seed in the match-play portion which begins this morning. UCLA will face Oregon today in the quarterfinals.
Freshman Lilia Vu shot a 5 under 67 in Monday's round, which tied her for sixth overall at 5 under 283. Bronte Law finished ninth overall after shooting a par 72 on Monday and a 4 under 284 overall.
Senior Louise Ridderström wrapped up her final round with a par 72. She tied for 11th with a 1 under 287 for the four rounds of stroke play while freshman Bethany Wu shot a 1 under 71 Monday and a 2 over 290 for the four rounds. Wu finished stroke play tied for 27th place.
The Bruins will tee off this morning against Oregon with the winner facing the winner of this afternoon's contest between Washington and Virginia. The matchups for the quarterfinals will be:

8:00 a.m. - Louise Ridderström vs. Kathleen Scavo
8:10 a.m. - Hadas Libman vs. Marcella Pranovia
8:20 a.m. - Lilia Vu vs. Caroline Inglis
8:30 a.m. - Bronte Law vs. Cathleen Santoso
