It’s finally here! I honestly feel like I can breathe again because college football is back in full action as we kick off tonight’s games. Here is a list of the major games, times (all times listed are Pacific), and networks:
Charlotte at (19)Louisville: 4:00, ACC Network
WIth a young football program (only in its fifth year, second in the FBS), Charlotte takes on Louisville as a 40-point underdog. I admire their moxie.
Appalachian State at (9)Tennessee: 4:30, SEC Network
Tennessee looks to continue moving in a positive direction tonight, as they take on Appalachian State, a team that beat Michigan five years ago today. They have not beaten a Power Five team since.
South Carolina at Vanderbilt: 5:00, ESPN
South Carolina looks to end a two year road drought in the SEC (they’ve lost eight of their last nine road games) with a win tonight. They have been successful at Vanderbilt for the last three seasons, so we should see Muschamp and the Gamecocks with the W.
Southern Utah at Utah: 5:00, Pac 12 Network
This is a game to watch for the Pac 12. Utah is debuting a new quarterback and has a solid defense that will be at the Rose Bowl on October 22. Let’s see what’s in store for us.
Oregon State at Minnesota: 6:00, Big Ten Network
Another game with one of our future opponents (Oregon State will be in Pasadena on November 12). We’ll see Gary Anderson in his second season looking to right the wrongs of the 2015 two-win season.
