After the UCLA Men’s Soccer team finishes its game against Duke tonight at Drake Stadium, the UCLA Women’s Soccer team will take to the pitch in the nitecap of tonight’s men’s and women’s soccer doubleheader.
UCLA is looking to some of the early season momentum the team had prior to losing to Florida 4-3 in OT on Sunday.
Sunday’s game was an exciting one which saw freshman Jessie Fleming, fresh off her Olympic performance for Team Canada, scores two goals in her collegiate soccer debut.
Those goals earned Fleming the UCLA Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week Award.
So far this season, the Bruin offense has been incredible. The team has scored 9 goals through three regular season games and that offensive firepower is likely a very big reason why the team managed to move up to #11 in the latest NSCAA and Soccer America polls.
Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions are ranked #13 in the country with a 1-1-1 record. Last season, Penn State won the national championship with a strong defense.
This should make tonight’s game very interesting.
Speaking of watching, if you’re not headed to Drake for tonight’s game, you can watch it on the Pac-12 Network starting at 8pm. Live stats will also be available on UCLABruins.com.
Go Bruins!!!
