Tonight’s exhibition will be the first time to see the many new guys first and foremost how good is Kris Wilkes? But it will also be our first chance to see how the point guard spot will work with Aaron Holiday and Jaylen Hands playing together. For the media, there will be LiAngelo Ball watch, how many minutes will the non-starting Ball get? It should be a fun game to watch.

The opponent is Cal State Los Angeles. Cal State LA has a strong UCLA connection and is a bit of trip down member lane as their coach Jim Saia: “has 14 years of coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level, including seven years as the top assistant coach at UCLA and one year at USC, where he served as the interim head coach for most of the season. Saia has helped more than 17 players onto rosters of National Basketball Association teams, including Baron Davis, Dan Gadzuric, Earl Watson, Jason Kapono, Nick Young and Matt Barnes.”

I like the fact all those players listed are ex-UCLA. How many future pros are there on the floor tonight? Should be fun to start watching them.

Go Bruins!
