This Saturday is proving to be an exciting one. There were several big games earlier today and there are some really big late games as well.

To start the late games off with a bang, you’ve got the #2 Alabama Crimson Tide against Dan Mullen’s #16 Mississippi State Bulldogs. Mullen’s name is being mentioned as a possible successor at Florida and elsewhere. Here’s his chance to pick up a signature victory and virtually assure himself that he will be coaching elsewhere next season.

At 5 pm, you’ve got a choice of two marquee games. In one, you’ve got the #3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish visiting the #7 Miami Hurricanes in a game that most people didn’t think would matter much when the season started because neither of these teams were expected to be ranked this high at this point in the season. Both teams are looking for a win tonight in order to impress the pollsters and the Playoff committee while the loser is probably out of this year’s College Football Playoff.

The same holds true for the 5 pm game on FOX that pits the #6 TCU Horned Frogs against the #5 Oklahoma Sooners. Both of these teams are looking to remain in the conversation for a playoff spot.

You can check out either of these games until about halftime before the Bruins kick off their game at 6:30 pm PT on Pac-12 Networks, but you knew that already, right?
