College Football Late Saturday: Arizona Visit Oregon in a #Pac12AfterDark Game

Plus, two SEC games featuring four teams in transition can hold you over until UCLA kicks off at 5 pm PT.

If you call yourself a Bruin fan, there’s only one late game that matters today and that’s the one being played at the Coliseum at 5pm.

But, something has to hold you over while you’re waiting for the UCLA game to start at 5 pm PT. Here are three possible options to hold you over until then.

Let’s start in the Pac-12 where the Arizona Wildcats travel to Eugene to face the Oregon Ducks. The good news for the Ducks is that Justin Herbert has been cleared to play against the Cats. So, Oregon will finally get their starting quarterback back and not a moment too soon, as the Ducks look for a win to become bowl-eligible under first-year head coach Willie Taggart.

Sticking with the Pac-12 for a moment, you’ll want to check out the #Pac12AfterDark matchup between the Utah Utes and the Washington Huskies. On paper, the Huskies should roll, but Utah is looking to become bowl-eligible and Kyle Whittingham will have his team prepared, but I digress.

The other two games to hold you over till the Bruins kick off features SEC teams. On ESPN, Ed Orgeron’s LSU Tigers travel to Knoxville to play the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols’ program is a bigger mess than UCLA’s right now. Head coach Butch Jones was fired a few weeks ago, but the Tigers haven’t had a great season either and you’re just looking to kill an hour anyway.

The other SEC game which also faces two hot messes is the Texas A&M Aggies at the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebels are another team looking for a new head coach already after Hugh Freeze was fired before the season started while A&M’s Kevin Sumlin has been on the hot seat as long as Jim Mora.
