Now that your Thanksgiving feast is over, get ready to feast on some college football! There are 15 games today to pick from. So, stay away from the malls and shop online this Black Friday while you watch some of the college football action.
The early game with the most potential to shake up the college football landscape is on ABC at 9 am PT when the #2 Miami Hurricanes visit the Pittsburgh Panthers. This looks to be a potential trap game for the ‘Canes. Even though they are currently ranked second, anytime you have a warm weather school visiting a cold weather school there is a potential for disaster and that’s exactly what could happen here. Can the Canes come out with a victory? Probably, but don’t be surprised if they finally fall from the ranks of the unbeaten.
At 12:30 pm PT, ABC has another promising game when the South Florida Bulls visit the #15 UCF Knights. There’s little doubt that Scott Frost has done an amazing job turning around the Central Florida program. His team is still undefeated so far this season. It’s the reason that Frost is on everyone’s hot list to replace just about every coach out there. Meanwhile, Charlie Strong has done a good job with South Florida in his first year. If there’s a team that can knock off UCF, Strong’s Bulls might be it.
Just when you thought you had enough, the #25 Virginia Tech Hokies travel to Charlottesville to play their in-state rival Virginia Cavaliers. Since coming over from Memphis, Justin Fuente is bringing the Hokie program back to life, but don’t count out Bronco Mendenhall’s Virginia team. UVA is starting to look like Mendenhall’s BYU teams. Of course, all this makes folks guess that each of these coaches might not be at either school for very long. This game will take you up to the kickoff of the Bruins and the Bears this evening.
So, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Here’s today’s full college football schedule.
