College Football Friday: Marshall Battles Florida Atlantic and Memphis Visits Tulsa

These games should whet your football appetite just in time for tonight’s UCLA game.

NCAA Football: Tulsa at Memphis Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

There are just three games tonight in college football. Of course, one of them is tonight’s UCLA game against Utah. That’s tonight’s big matchup.

But what about the other two games?

The first game kicks off on the CBS Sports Network at 3 pm PT when the Marshall Thundering Herd visits the Florida Atlantic Owls. Lane Kiffen has the Owls leading the Conference USA East Division, but the Thundering Herd are just a game behind the Owls. A win tonight by Marshall would give the Thundering Herd the lead in the division.

The second game features the #22 Memphis Tigers visiting the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. This game kicks off at 5 pm PT on ESPN2. Considering that the Golden Hurricane is just 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the American Athletic Conference, this one shouldn’t be much of a game. Look for Mike Norvell and the Tigers to win this one big. It’s a good thing this one should be over before halftime, because the Bruins will kickoff right around the end of the second quarter of this game.

This is your College Football Friday open thread.

Go Bruins!!!
