Coming off their second highest score of the season, the #4 UCLA gymnastics team will take on the #19 UC Berkeley Golden Bears (6-2, 3-2) at 1:00pm/PT on Sunday. UCLA is promoting the “Pack Pauley” event, and hopes to perform in front of a sell out crowd. UCLA is offering $4 tickets with the promotion code PACKPAULEY.

Last weekend against Arizona, the Bruins racked up ten 9.9s or higher, including a winning score of 9.975 on floor exercise contributed by Hallie Mossett. Madison Kocian earned her fifth all-around title of the season and Kyla Ross won all three events in which she competed, tying with Kocian and Sonya Meraz for first on vault and winning bars and beam with scores of 9.95. Ross is now #1 in the nation on bars, and it was also Meraz’s first victory this season. Mossett’s victory earned her the Pac 12 Specialist of the Week, which is the fifth time this season a Bruin has earned the honor.

The UC Berkeley Golden Bears have suffered season-ending injuries to Dana Ho and 2016 Olympian Toni-Ann Williams, but they were able to keep it together for a win over Oregon State (197.075-196.825) on February 18, and a season-high road score of 196.400 in their second place finish at the Masters Classic quad meet hosted by Nebraska on February 25. UC Berkeley ranks 15th in the nation on vault, 17th on beam and 25th on bars and floor.
