Stanford and Oregon State Battle it Out for the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship

The Beavers and the Cardinal come face-to-face one final time.

@BeaverWBB

Tonight is the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament championship game. For a fourth straight year, Oregon State has earned a trip to the championship game. They won the title last year after defeating UCLA. Stanford held the title for the 2014-2015 season before Oregon State ripped it from them the following year.

Oregon State has one of the best defenses in the conference. They were able to hold off offensive powerhouse UCLA and there’s no doubt they can do it to Stanford as well. However, even when the Cardinal faces trouble, they stay calm. They faced an early obstacle when Oregon took an early lead, but did not let it get them down. They came back soon after to take the win and make their way into the final game. Being able to contain those nerves is going to be a huge advantage when they come face-to-face to the Oregon State defense who knows how to shut down an offense.

Oregon State wants to repeat as Pac-12 Tournament champions. Stanford wants to take it back. A top two showdown is going to go down in Seattle tonight and it will not disappoint. Will Stanford be able to dethrone the defending champs Oregon State?
