The defending champion Patriots only had four picks in this year’s draft. Their final pick came at 211 in the sixth round and they used it to pick Conor McDermott.
In my draft profile of McDermott, I wrote that you should expect a team to draft him as a possible project because of his size. Well, the Patriots have one of the most highly respected offensive line coaches in the NFL.
So, look for McDermott to finally get the coaching and development he didn’t receive under now-departed Adrian Klemm.
Congratulations, Conor! Just don’t try pranking Tom Brady the way you did to Raiders draftee Eddie Vanderdoes last summer!
Go Bruins!
