Before the draft, the conventional wisdom went back and forth as to whether the Lakers would select Ball, but Lonzo has gotten his wish, or at least his dad’s wish, and will play for the hometown Lakers.
We can debate back and forth whether or not Lonzo would have been better off if a team outside Southern California had drafted him, but it doesn’t matter now because he’s going to the Lakers.
Congratulations, Lonzo! After watching you turnaround Steve Alford’s fortunes in Westwood, Bruin fans can’t wait to see what you do for the purple and gold.
Go Bruins!
