According to the Detroit Free Press, “UCLA handed Michigan another blow today”.
After much thought and back to back visits to Michigan and UCLA, offensive tackle Sunny Odogwu has chosen the Bruins. He will be eligible to play and will be on campus in the last half of June. He has graduated from Miami and will be enrolled at UCLA as a graduate student.
Odogwu sits at 6’8”, 325 pounds, and started four games last season for the Hurricanes, but his season came to a close early because of a knee injury. He should add some much needed depth on a line that struggled immensely last year. While I have only looked at some highlights, he seems to have good instincts and stays with his man. He follows through on the coverage and doesn’t let his opponents get away while also creating holes for running backs and time for his quarterback to throw. He is quick for his size and can easily recover an opponent’s fumble.
Are you drooling yet?
He visited UCLA after Michigan, and tweeted the following just a week ago:
Incredible visit with @UCLAFOOTBALL. @Jim_MoraUCLA @CoachJeddFisch @HankFraley thanks for everything. I am truly blessed. (God/Gut)

Then today, he tweeted this:

The news was first reported by Fox Sports college football reporter Bruce Feldman.
According to Scout, Odogwu said, "I'm focused and getting ready for the season, and I cannot wait to get to UCLA".
UCLA also hired Jedd Fisch away in January and four star quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson chose UCLA over Michigan in April.

Welcome to Westwood, Sunny!
