College Football Late Saturday: Big Game at the Big House

Michigan and Wisconsin clash in the clear highlight game of the evening.

NCAA Football: Michigan at Wisconsin Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

UCLA starts their game with UC Berkeley at 4 P.M. PST, so you could be forgiven for ignoring the afternoon set of games. But, in case your wandering eye betrays you, or you’re looking to watch literally anything other than UCLA football, here’s a run-down of the afternoon slate of games.

The big game of the afternoon kicks off 30 minutes after the Bruins, as the #12 Michigan Wolverines host the #15 Wisconsin Badgers at the Big House in Ann Arbor. It’s a big game in the Big 10 conference, especially for the Wolverines, who are stuck in a division with Penn State and Ohio State, so they need every win they can get. Wisconsin, by comparison, is in a weaker West division, and can survive a loss here, but a win would announce that they do belong in the upper echelon of the Big 10.

The only truly noteworthy game tonight is our #Pac12AfterDark nightcap, and it’s a doozy, as the #19 Colorado Buffaloes travel to LA to face Southern Cal on FS1. The Buffaloes are undefeated, and a win here would put them in the catbird seat in the Pac-12 South, while Southern Cal can use a win to assert themselves as the clear leaders in the South.

Here’s a list of the afternoon slate:
