College Football Saturday: #6 Michigan Visits #24 Michigan State Today

Today’s college football action kicks off with a game between two Big 10 rivals.

It looks like Fox is the place to watch college football early today. That’s because they will begin their coverage with a dandy between the #6 Michigan Wolverines and the #24 Michigan State Spartans. It’s one of the biggest rivalries in college football and the fact that both teams are ranked in the Top 25 makes this game more enticing.

The Wolverines have won 5 straight after losing a close game to Notre Dame. Meanwhile, the Spartans have lost two games to unranked teams in Arizona State and Northwestern.

Another game worth watching today kicks off on Fox at 12:30 pm PT when the Colorado Buffaloes visit the #5 Washington Huskies in what could be a preview of this year’s Pac-12 Championship Game. The Buffs are 2-1 in conference play which puts them in second in the Pac-12 South 12 a game behind leader Southern Cal. Meanwhile, Washington is tied for first in the Pac-12 North with Stanford.

Also kicking off at 12:30 pm PT is an ACC matchup between the #16 N.C. State Wolfpack and the #3 Clemson Tigers. This game is on ESPN and is the only other early game featuring two Top 25 schools besides the Michigan-Michigan State game. I expect Clemson to win this game by at least two touchdowns because the Tigers under Dabo Sweeney have been a rather impressive football team.
