College Football Friday: Miami Visits BC in an ACC Matchup

I’m not sure how many Bruin fans will be watching football tonight until after the Dodger game, but just in case, we’ve got the line up for you.

The first game features our old friend Lane Kiffin and his Florida Atlantic Owls when they host the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs at 3:30 pm PT. The Bulldogs are looking for their third win in a row and a potential shot at a Conference USA title, while the Owls are looking to right the wrongs of a 31-7 loss at Marshall last week.

I have a soft spot for the Boston College Eagles, who are taking on the Miami Hurricanes at 4:00 pm PT, if only because they beat Southern Cal back in 2014. Both teams enter with a 5-2 record, and the Canes are only favored by about a field goal at this point. A win or loss in this game could have late season conference title implications for both teams, who are chasing the likes of Clemson and Virginia Tech for division honors.

At 7:00 pm PT, the Colorado State Rams will take on the Wyoming Cowboys in a battle for respect. Wyoming has lost four in a row, and Colorado State needs to win three of their last four games to even be bowl eligible for 2018. The Rams are probably the favorite, although neither team has much of an offense and Wyoming’s defense is in the basement.
