College Football Late Saturday: #Pac12AfterDark Returns with Three Late Games

Today’s late games don’t seem to be as exciting as the early slate was.

Personally, I don’t understand how a Pac-12 game between the #14 Washington State Cougars and the #24 Stanford Cardinal managed to slip down to airing on the limited distribution of the Pac-12 Networks at 4 pm PT, but it did.

I just don’t get why Fox chose to air the Washington game against UC Berkeley on FS1 instead of the Cougs and the Cardinal.

Later at 5 pm PT, ABC has the #6 Texas Longhorns at the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Longhorns will look to improve their rankings in the polls heading into the release of the first CFP ranking on Tuesday. The 4-3 Cowboys haven’t played especially well so far this season as they are just 1-3 in the Big 12 right now and the lone win came against Kansas.

Finally, there’s another #Pac12AfterDark game tonight at 7:30 pm on ESPN that features UCLA’s next opponent, the #19 Oregon Ducks, against last week’s opponent, the Arizona Wildcats. Last night notwithstanding, this game could give Bruin fans an idea of what to expect next week. Of course, this game is in Tucson and not Autzen and Kevin Sumlin has never coached the Ducks. It should still give us an idea of what to expect from the Ducks next weekend.
