College Football Saturday: #6 Georgia Visis #9 Kentucky Plus All of Today’s Action

In another 12:30 pm game, #13 West Virginia squares off against #17 Texas in a big Big 12 game for both schools.

As seems to be the case every week, the #2 Clemson Tigers kick off this morning at 9 am PT on ABC when they face the Louisville Cardinals in an ACC matchup.

Recently, this would be tabbed as a good potential game, but, unfortunately for Cardinal fans, this hasn’t been a very good season. Louisville is 0-5 in ACC play and just 2-6 overall. Meanwhile, Clemson has been Clemson. The Tigers are a perfect 8-0 and were ranked 2nd in the first College Football Playoff ranking of the season. So, while Clemson will likely blow Louisville out, there aren’t really any better 9 am games to watch.

Now, at 12:30 pm, things get a lot better.

CBS has the #6 Georgia Bulldogs visiting the #9 Kentucky Wildcats. It’s hard to believe that the Wildcats are in the Top Ten, but they are. This one should be a heck of a fight. I still think Georgia will take this game, but I don’t think Wildcat fans are quite ready for basketball season to start this year.

The other interesting 12:30 pm game today can be found on Fox. This game features the #13 West Virginia Mountaineers visiting the #17 Texas Longhorns. Tom Herman may not have his Longhorns challenging for the CFP title yet, but there is no doubt that the Longhorns have certainly improved since Herman took over the squad. Meanwhile, Dana Halgorsen has his team leading the Pac-12 with their only loss coming at the hands of Iowa State on October 13th, but they got back on track last week by crushing Baylor 58-14.
