This afternoon, the Bruins host their crosstown rivals at Pauley Pavilion in athen important conference game. While both teams are trailing Arizona, only two games separates UCLA and Southern Cal in the Pac-12 standings.
So, if UCLA wants to have a shot at winning the Pac-12 regular season title, they need a win today over the Trojans.
Of course, the big question is which team UCLA coach Steve Alford will be sending out there to play today. Will it be the team that destroyed Stanford last Saturday? Or, will it be the team that almost lost to UC Berkeley, the worst team in the conference last Thursday night?
There are other questions about this team that needs some answers soon too. For instance, can UCLA play a complete game from the opening tip through the final buzzer? So far, they haven’t appeared to be able to do that.
Of course, Southern Cal’s Andy Enfield has his own problems, too. Enfield finally fired assistant coach Tony Bland who was arrested by the FBI in the ongoing college basketball scandal. Then, there’s the problem of Chimezie Metu.
Here’s a guy who has slapped, tripped and punched his opponents and, more important, he’s basically gotten away with it. If he pulls that today, he needs a lengthy suspension.

This season, we are proud to, again, have today's audio feed for everyone who opts to use the Tune In player embedded below. For optimum results, start the audio feed then pause your DVR and sync them up together. Personally, I don’t know why anyone would want to do that this afternoon with Bill Walton calling the game, but I get that some of you don’t like listening to him. I think he makes the game more entertaining.
For those who don’t think like me, you can listen here on BN!
