2018 NCAA Tournament First Four: UCLA Bruins vs. St. Bonaventure Bonnies Game Thread

The Bruins face the Bonnies in a First Four play-in game tonight.

Tonight’s game should actually be a very interesting one.

On one hand, you have a team with a pair of guards that can shoot lights out from the perimeter. On the other hand, you have a team which struggles to defend the perimeter.

The Bonnies have a pair of guards in Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley who are combining to shoot more than 40% from 3-point range, while the Bruins have definitely struggled to defend the perimeter.

Down low, it’s Advantage UCLA as the Bruins have a definite size advantage in Thomas Welsh and G.G. Goloman.

Will Steve Alford take advantage of the size mismatch? Or, will it be more excuses about the officials not letting him onto the court?

Can the Bruins stop the Bonnies’ senior guards from the perimeter?

And, after watching Aaron Holiday run out of gas last week against Arizona, will Alford finally give his star guard some rest?
