UCLA Men’s Tennis Begins NCAA Tournament Action Against Idaho

The Bruins men’s tennis team is UCLA’s third program starting the Quest for 117 this weekend.

The UCLA Men’s Tennis team finished up the regular season ranked second in the nation and, today, they begin play in the NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament against the Idaho Vandals.

The Bruins won both the Pac-12 regular season title along with the Pac-12 Tournament.

UCLA is led by Martin Redlicki, who is the top seed for the NCAA Singles Championship. Redlicki is 22-5 so far this season and 17-4 against ranked opponents. In addition to being on court one in the singles competition, he will also be paired with Evan Zhu on court one for the doubles portion of the match. Meanwhile, Zhu will play on court two for UCLA during the singles portion of the match.

Freshman Keegan Smith will play on court three in the singles competition and on court two for the doubles where he will be paired with senior Austin Rapp. Junior Maxime Cressy is part of the Bruins’ third doubles pair along with freshman Bryce Pereira. UCLA’s other two singles guys are senior Logan Skaggs and freshman Connor Hance.
