Our long national nightmare is over.
After being teased last weekend with a few college football games the weekend kicks off tonight when the #21 UCF Knights travel to East Hartford, Connecticut to play the UConn Huskies at 4pm PT.
You may remember that this is the AAC matchup that former UConn head coach Bob Diaco created a trophy for and called this so-called rivalry the Civil Conflict. The problem is that no one seems to know where the trophy went. What’s worse is that no one seems to care.
But, Central Florida will be looking to keep their winning streak going after losing head coach Scott Frost to Nebraska and hiring former Missouri Tigers offensive coordinator Josh Heupel.
In other action tonight, the Northwestern Wildcats face the Purdue Boilermakers in the first Big Ten Conference game of the season at 5pm PT.
While that game may be one of the more compelling games tonight, the Utah Utes will host Weber State also at 5pm PT. So, Bruin fans that want to check out the Utes may want to skip the other games to see what Utah has this season.
