College Football Saturday: Will #7 Auburn or #10 Florida Stay Unbeaten?

This morning, #14 Iowa visits #19 Michigan to get your day started.

Florida v Auburn
Can Auburn beat the Gators on the road?

Today’s college football schedule is one of the lightest so far this season. For example, Saturday, September 7th had 70 games on tap while there are just 44 games today.

In the 9 am window, only six games feature teams in the Top 25. One of the more interesting game involves the #6 Oklahoma Sooners visiting the Kansas Jayhawks. So far this year, consider the fact that, at 2-3, the Jayhawks have twice as many wins as the UCLA Bruins. That’s just crazy. Now, we can see just how far Kansas has come so far under Les Miles. To be sure, Oklahoma will win this game. The question is “By how much?” Can Kansas keep it closer than UCLA did? This game kicks off at 9 am on ABC.

The best matchup of the morning will likely take place at the Big House in Ann Arbor, Michigan when the #19 Michigan Wolverines host the #16 Iowa Hawkeyes. The Wolverines bounced back from their loss to Wisconsin two weeks ago with a dominating 52-0 win over Rutgers. Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes bounced back from a near-loss to the Iowa State Cyclones two weeks ago by crushing Middle Tennessee, 48-3. So, this should be a very good game this morning also at 9 am. This one is on Fox.

At 12:30 pm PT, the game to watch has got to be the Top Ten pairing of the #7 Auburn Tigers against the #10 Florida Gators. In this one, we have two teams which remain undefeated. Over the past two weeks, the Gators have outscored Tennessee and Towson 72-3. On the other hand, the Tigers have easily won their last four games after opening the season with a tough win over Oregon. This game should be a great one, but the Gators have the edge here as the home team.

Here’s the full slate of today’s games:
