The UCLA Women’s Soccer team (14-4-1) has been selected to be the #2 seed in the region featuring #1 Florida State (15-5) for the 2019 NCAA postseason tournament.

The Bruins start the postseason hosting Lamar (15-6).

UPDATE: That game will be played this Friday, November 15, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. PT at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.

If UCLA gets by Lamar, they would play the winner of Clemson versus Vanderbilt in Westwood.

Should UCLA win it’s first two games, it would host whomever comes out of the following four teams: Duke, Utah, Milwaukee, and Wisconsin (#3 seed).

Stanford is the top seeded team in the entire field of 64. They are joined by fellow #1 seeds, North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida State.

Along with UCLA, Southern Cal, BYU and South Carolina are the other #2 seeds.

The entire bracket can be found here.

Should the Bruins win their first three games at home, they would play whomever comes out of Florida State’s half of the quadrant. If that team is the Seminoles, UCLA would travel to Tallahassee for a rematch of the two teams’ earlier contest this season, a game won by the Bruins at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, 2-1, back in late August.

If both UCLA and Stanford make it to the Women’s College Cup, they would play in semi-finals. The Women’s College Cup will be played this year in San Jose, California, at Avaya Stadium, home of MLS’ San Jose Earthquakes.

Check back to this article later for an update regarding UCLA’s schedule for the postseason, which gets underway this weekend.

Go Bruins!
