Long Beach State 49ers at UCLA Bruins Game Thread

Baseball fan are familiar with the phrase “Hope springs eternal.” It’s used to express the optimism every baseball fan experiences at the start of another new baseball season. Well, that’s the phrase I keep thinking of as the UCLA men’s basketball team has been approaching their first game of the season.

I think it has to do with the fact that I think Bruin fans are finally hopeful for basketball season after five long years of having Steve Alford at the helm.

It goes without saying that hope is not a strategy and, while Coach Cronin may not have been anyone’s first choice, he has been a great fit so far as he has embraced UCLA and its traditions.

I have no doubt that the Bruins will win tonight and I’m hopeful that it’s the first of a great many for Coach Cronin here as the coach of the Bruins.
