College Football Championship Saturday: After Utah Loss, Oklahoma and Baylor Look to Move into CFP

The loss by the Utes gives the Big 12 schools a chance to get into the College Football Playoff.

Can Jalen Hurts get Oklahoma back into the playoff picture by beating Baylor today?

After the Oregon Ducks knocked the Utah Utes out of the College Football Playoff picture last night, there are nine more conference championship games today.

The day starts off with the Big Twelve Championship Game at 9 am on ABC between the #7 Baylor Bears and the #6 Oklahoma Sooners. As a result of the Utes’ loss, the winner of this game now has a good chance to move up into the fourth spot in the College Football Playoff if the #4 Georgia Bulldogs lose to the #2 LSU Tigers.

Those teams will meet this afternoon at 12:30 pm PT on CBS in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta. However, a win by Georgia will likely result in both LSU and Georgia making the CFP.

Of course, this assumes that the #3 Clemson Tigers are able to beat the #23 Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC Championship at 4:30 pm PT on ABC and that the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes prevail over the #8 Wisconisin Badgers in the Big Ten Championship at 5 pm PT on Fox.

Here’s the full list of today’s games:
