The good news is that the opening weekend of the 2019 college football season continues again tonight. The bad news is that there’s really only one game worth watching.
In fact, it feels like almost all of the weekend’s terrible games may have been scheduled for tonight.
But, there is the game between the #19 Wisconsin Badgers and the South Florida Bulls at 4 pm PT on ESPN. That’s the closest thing you will get to a “good game” tonight.
Now, on the other hand, if you want to see the absolute dregs of college football, have I got a game for you! That’s because two of the worst teams in the BCS play against each other tonight when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights host the Massachusetts Minutemen.
Don’t be surprised if these teams find a way to end the game in a tie, even though college football rules created overtime years ago. Yeah, it’s that bad.
At least you won’t be forced to watch it on a major network. That game will air on the Big Ten Network. It’s such a bad game that not even the Pac-12 Networks would air it!
Then again, both of these teams are so bad that maybe the game will actually be entertaining. This one kicks off at 4:15 pm PT. So, at least give these guys some love during halftime of the Wisconsin vs. South Florida game. Speaking of USF, is it me or does Tampa not seem to be located in “South Florida?” Maybe our resident Floridian orlandobruin can get us an answer to that.
Here’s tonight’s full slate of games:
