College Football Saturday: Can #12 Texas A&M Upset #1 Clemson?

Also, Cincinnati visits Ohio State in a battle of in-state rivals.

The best early game today features Dabo Swinney’s Clemson Tigers hosting the Texas A&M Aggies.

With the UCLA Bruins not kicking off until 1:15 pm this afternoon, that means that there’s some time to watch some college football this morning. So, let’s take a look at some of the Week 2 matchups around college football.

One of the best games of the day features UCLA’s opponent from last week, the Cincinnati Bearcats, squaring off against the #5 Ohio State Buckeyes at 9:00 am on ABC. The reality is that this in-state matchup is probably the only game worth watching this morning.

Sure, at 10 am, the #13 Utah Utes will kickoff on Pac-12 Networks against the Northern Illinois Huskies, but the possibility of an upset of Ohio State is just too strong to watch anything but the Bearcats and the Buckeyes.

The early game of the day, not involving UCLA, doesn’t kickoff until 12:30 pm PT when the #12 Texas A&M Aggies visit Death Valley to play the #1 Clemson Tigers. This game will also be on ABC. Personally, I think Dabo has the Tigers playing such good football that this game probably won’t be close, but, on paper at least, it’s the best early matchup of the day.

Here’s today’s full slate of games:
